Warren Achievement Center has a staff of approximately 125.  Department of Human Services-approved training is provided to staff who work directly with our achievers.

Warren Achievement Center has openings for the following positions:

Residential Assistants, full time & part time, 1st, 2nd & 3rd shifts, some weekends.

  • Will provide support and direction to individuals with developmental disabilities in a group home setting.
  • Must have a driver’s license and must be able to be authorized to pass medications.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • This position is eligible for a sign-on bonus of $1,000 for a new employee!

Developmental Training Aide, part time, 1st shift, weekdays.  Provide personal care for achievers receiving services (including changing, toileting, hygiene, feeding). Monitor all achievers during lunchtime. Assist with pre-vocational/vocational training. Cover classrooms as needed to promote all areas of development and life enhancement skills.

  • High school diploma preferred

Van Driver, part time, 15-20 hours per week, generally weekdays; may be an occasional weekend assignment and/or split shifts. Local candidate would be ideal.  Will ensure safe transportation of passengers while observing traffic safety.  Ensures accurate data recording for computer input.  Must be at least 21 years of age with good driving record and high school diploma or equivalent.

Site Manager, full time, benefits.  Will provide on-site support, direction, delegation, and training to assigned achievers and staff at the North 9th Street site. Supports program participants in areas of self-care, social & interpersonal skills, independent living skills & leisure time management.  Performs medication administration tasks as delegated and supervised by Registered Nurse Trainers.  Includes some on-call responsibilities.  Position requires a valid driver’s license and high school diploma or equivalent, plus one year of experience with persons with developmental disabilities.

Accounting Specialist I, full time, benefits, generally days Monday through Friday.  Duties include:

  • Calculating and invoicing rent and cost of care monthly for Achievers.
  • Invoicing all monthly billings in Sage Accounting Software.
  • Preparing bank deposits.
  • Enter payables in Sage Software weekly.  Maintain Accounts Payable files and reconcile outstanding payables monthly.
  • Use Excel to complete weekly and monthly reports and spreadsheets to track expenditures for grants and other funding.
  • Pay Achievers’ bills and reconcile.
  • Prepare Purchase Orders and receive in goods ordered.
  • Assist with monthly inventory and reconciliation of Custodial Supplies.

High school diploma or equivalent required with at least 3 year experience in a related field, or Associate’s degree in an accounting field.
