Warren Achievement Center has a staff of approximately 115.  Department of Human Services-approved training is provided to staff who work directly with our achievers.  Open interviews for open positions are held every Tuesday, from 8:30 to 11 a.m.  No appointment required.

Warren Achievement Center has openings for the following

Residential Assistant, part time, primarily 2nd shift, some weekends; may include some split shifts.

  • Will provide support and direction to individuals with developmental disabilities in a group home setting.
  • Must have a driver’s license and must be able to be authorized to pass medications.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

Maintenance/Groundskeeper, part time, generally days.  Will perform assigned tasks such as snow removal, mowing, raking, trimming, digging, and moving equipment and materials.  Some painting and basic carpentry, custodial also required.  Must be able to read labels on equipment and agricultural chemicals.  Must possess a valid driver’s license.  Must be able to carry out tasks without close supervision.

Maintenance Specialist, full time, benefits, generally weekdays.  Will perform carpentry duties which include complete removal/installation of walls & new construction.  Troubleshoots and repairs domestic water supply fixtures.  Perform general building repairs, inside and outside.  High school diploma or equivalent plus one year work related experience in building maintenance or with a general contractor.  Must possess a valid driver’s license and have reliable transportation.  Must be able to carry out assigned tasks without close supervision.

Van Driver, part time, 10-20 hours per week, generally weekdays.  Will ensure safe transportation of passengers while observing traffic safety. Ensures accurate data recording for computer input.  Must be at least 21 years of age with good driving record.  Requires a valid driver’s license, high school diploma or equivalent, and pass pre-employment and random drug/alcohol tests.
